The Project
Little Garden Cafe located in Spokane Washington planned a whole summer series around local beer and local music - what could be better - oh wait, the food pairings that went with the beer. Working with the Cafe, we made short little promotional videos and product photos for each of the featured breweries. Over the course of 4-5 hours that's what we did - interviewed the brewers and photographed the beers to create these short little social media ads.
Behind the Scenes
This was a pretty small production. I shot with one Nikon D750 and two lenses: a 24-78mm 2.8 and a 50mm 1.4. Besides that, a TASCAM recording device and an ice light were used to round-out the production. The ice light was a pleasant surprise - I had not used one until this production. I was (and am still) impressed at the overall throw the light has. If you are into small productions, this is a great light to strap onto your bag with a tripod to run around with (plus you can tell kids it's a lightsaber - they love it). My favorite part was meeting the brewers and photographing the beer (the glass used likely had an interesting taste come days end since all the beers save one were in it at one point or another. Also, shout out to Downdraft Brewing Co. for the free growler!
