I'm afraid I have dreadful photos for this shoot. Oh well, but hey- the video's alright!
It just so happened that a Microsoft Customer Story I was asked to shoot turned out to be in my backyard - Spokane WA!
Disclaimer: As I've said in past blog posts (and will say in future ones), I work as a contract video producer for Microsoft through Scorch Agency, LLC. They've been kind enough to let me blog about the work I do for them.
The customer was Red Lion Hotels Corporation. I've traveled to various places in the United States shooting these customer videos - what are the odds one would turn up in my hometown of Spokane WA (a relatively small and rural city) - not high! Not only that, but my wife had actually worked at this hotel before! Have fun with that statisticians.
Due to it's close proximity and my prior familiarity with the place I had the (rare) pleasure of knowing the location before actually filming it (always see the location ahead of time if you can!). The rain stopped just long enough and the sun came out to make for a pleasant day of filming. The staff at Hotel RL (the hotel subchain we filmed at) was a wonderful group - friendly and easy to work with (even willing to demo the Microsoft products I was there highlighting!).
